Well... To say that I was told NOOOOOO! would be an understatement. Approached them to ask if they'd cure my mismatch with six wires... If anyone techie is listening in I've got a bit more info.

I need to know what the wires going into the 10 pin connector on the ATD "engine compartment wiring" does - This is plug 31 on the ETKA source I've used. Labelled as "link to engine harness", which is exactly what it is.

THEN, to complete this minor little bit of work, I need to know what the wires in the 10 pin connector on the ASZ "engine harness" does - This is plug 15 on the ETKA source I have. Labelled as "link to engine compartment wiring"... which given paragraph 2... funnily enough it IS.

I won't name & shame the dealer as its not really fair, but they wouldn't release the wiring diagrams either, so maybe I should? maybe that block exemption rule could be mentioned eh, Lummox?

Well, simply enough.... EVERYTHING else matches up fine as I'm 99.9% sure this is the only link between the actual harness and rest of the loom... Might be wrong. But all other works are looking extremely promising... Just a shame that one little plug that won't join to another plug, is all thats holding me up.

I thought for a minute that you'd tried to make a warranty claim based on the subject.

To be honest I'm not at all surprised that they don't want to know. They won't want to accept any responsibility if you start it up and the whole thing goes up in flames.

i'd ask say to them about that rule and tell them you'll get advice from CAB and trading standas have to say. those two little things seem to have a big impact on most people :S

They didn't even succumb to that. :( Might try my one more locally to work and see what they say.... Wonder if a different approach is required?

Have emailed Skoda UK - Lets see what they say. I got a good quote in there though - "Car is a Y plate, so out of warranty - so you don't need to worry about that"

Thanks Nick, and Stu. Seems like such a perlarvour(sp?) for joining six wires together... had bigger wiring jobs on my ICE compared to this.
