Electrical Problems

Featured Replies

This morning the remote failed to unlock our 2001 Elegance Diesel Estate. Run-down battery in the key, I thought, as I headed off to the airport. Then I found the electric windows did not work (embarrassing at the barrier), nor the electric sunroof. But the central locking still works with the key.

Obvious diagnosis - a blown fuse. But which one? The manual seems to have multiple fuses to work the sunroof, but none indicated for the windows! Of course I can pull every fuse, but can someone point me in the right direction?

Probably unrelated, but the day before I noticed the offside brake light wasn't working - checked them out, but all the bulbs seemed OK. As both brake lights work off the same fuse, that can't be the problem - just a coincidence, or did I short-circuit something?
