I have recently had my octavia vrs remapped using blufin, after approximately one week I started to get what feels like flat spots between 2000-3500rpm in gears 3rd upwards, if its not a flat spot it just has no power then once past this its off, has anyone else had this problem as superchips say its a first, ive seen on some modified octavias that they mention a fuel valve from an rs4, why have they changed it and what does it do, can anyone shed some light on this please.

RS4 fuel valve is basically to keep fuel rail pressure high so the injectors can supply the appropriate fuelling when requested by the car's ECU. Your flat spot could be any number of things, blocked fuel filter, potential coil pack issue, etc. Get someone with VCDS to come give you a scan and record some logs on anything and everything..... See if you can see what is failing at the 3rd gear flatspot. 

Never had these before remapping, superchips wrote me a new map but still has same issues, it could be lag, or not enough or too much fuel, I just dont know:-(

Fueling shouldnt be a problem if you have a TSI (not TFSI) as they have the same high pressure fuel pump as the more powerful KO4 turbo variants.

There is a weakness with a valve that controls boost bleed off, the part has been revised on later cars, might account for the flat spot as the car is most likely losing boost pressure, particularly given thats the sort of rev range the increased boost pressure would spike.

What do you all suggest I do?

Probably something not quite right with the map, revert back to standard and see what its like then. If Ok theres your answer.

Took it to superchips head office and they have had a go a curing the issue, they say its turbo lag caused by the wastegate opening to quickly, they have modified the map so it opens later, still has a slight hesitate when flooring it but better, if im not happy they said they would restore to factory and refund, anyone else had issues with waste gate on octavia, if so what else can be done? Has anyone had theirs revo mapped? What do you think of it?
