Trade in values

Featured Replies

Placed an order for a new VRS last month and aretracing in our old one. Spec: 2010 60 plate VRS tdi, race blue, only extras are rear park sensors and full sized spare wheel. Mileage 44k and its in pretty shabby condition, couple of the wheels knackered, broken reflector, BIG ding in one of the sills, air con knackered and interior trashed. Dealer is offering £9.4k. How does this compare to anybody else?

Cheers

Mileage isnt bad but big thing youve got going against you is that the car is a bit tatty and to sell it theyve either got to trade it on or repair it with the hope they can retain some profit.

If you had the wheels refurbed, repaired the bodywork and had it valeted I'd expect you'd probably do better out of it so long as you get it all done at sensible cost.

Sold mine recently and pricing is difficult.

However, you have a car that has a few miles on it, limited extras and pretty tatty condition. There will be many better examples out there. I think the price is reasonable.

How come it's in such bad condition? Air con not fixed under warranty?

Just never got round to taking it in, too much hassle. Also 3 kids trash the interior quicker than we can keep it clean! Im happy with the price as private sale is a massive pain in the arse was just wondering how it compared to others?
