Just thought I'd share the news that my new Citigo is currently on the Isar Highway which left Emden at 14:08 yesterday and is just now off Cleethorpes waiting to berth at Grimsby.

 

I don't know whether it's sad that we can get all that information or actually quite exciting!

I think my car came in on the Schelde Highway yesterday at Grimsby.

Could they have not put them on the same ship, it's pointless having only one car on two different Boats

1 car on 2 different ships along with 800 cars on each ship.Its just a daily run between Emden and Grimsby 7 days a week,sometimes with the tides at Grimsby there will be 2 ships berthing in a single day and now that the new river terminal is up and running that means the big car carriers (1500-3000 car capacity) can now discharge at Grimsby.

The ship (and your car) is just berthing now!.

I hope my new Octy estate was on one of them it was released to ship on 21st Sept. How do you find out if it's on a particular ship, apart from asking dealer?

How on earth do you find out this information ? Where do you track it from ? My dealer told me only they can track my Citigo order on their VW system. Please tell !

I suppose in the grand scheme of things it is kind of sad and insignificant, but if you've forked out a mini fortune for your car why shouldn't you excitedly track the progress of your orders !!

I rang customer services at Skoda to find out the status of my car as my dealer seems to have lost my contact details.Look at the Grimsby AIS website for the arrivals of the car carriers,the ships names all end in Highway like Ems Highway,Schelde Highway etc.

In my case, my dealer (Simpsons of Colne) told me. I believe the dealer can track all the way once the car is in build.

My dealer has not contacted me once and when I have rang up for info have been told a pack of lies so I by passed the dealer and rang up Skoda UK for a status report on my order.

This will be the sixth car I've had from Simpsons (four new, two used). I have always found the service to be exemplary.

They would be worth checking out next time.

I purchased my Yeti from Mitchells and they were brilliant hence why I ordered my Citigo off them,have been hopeless this time,no updates from them and any info' from them has been wide of the mark,might give Skoda a ring again today.
