balancing alloys and spacers ..?

Featured Replies

Hi folks a wee question that need answering... i have rotated my alloys front to back, i have 20mm spacers on the rear and  15mm on the front but now i find after i done the rotation i need the fronts balanced its a very slight balancing issue around 60mph ..but do i get my alloys balanced with the spacers on them. cheers folks.

Ive never had any of my wheels balanced with the spacers attached and I suspect that if you had no wobble issues with the other wheels then it can only need a re-balance of the now front wheels, just on a side note I did have a problem very similar to yours once when the tyre guy just put my wheels on and tightened the bolts up in a clockwise way and I had a slight wobble, it took me 3 re-balances to find out the problem so I loosened the bolts off and re-tightened them in the correct order making sure to centralise the wheel, it turns out that although id bought hubcentric spacers with the correct CB measurement it was very slightly out, hope this helps.
