Demonstrators

Featured Replies

Few starting to pop up on the forecourts. Would you buy one? Can't make up my mind wether to buy one on standard finance or go for PCP with new.

I bought one back in May with 2k on the clock. Very happy with it and I think I got a pretty good price. I went with std finance to get the free servicing and then cancelled it after a few days and paid off in full for about £13 interest but keeping the free servicing.

Ex-demo can be good way of buying a nearly new car at a reduced price, however you need to make sure that the interest you pay does not make it more expensive in the long run than buying a new one on 0%

I was pre 0% and wanted a car pretty quick due to problems with my part-ex...... just wanted shot of it before it cost me any more.... so taking the actual car I'd test driven, with zero wait and knowing that most bugs should'be been discovered and fixed worked for me at the time

I picked up a demonstrator in 05' with 1800 miles (a 54 plate Octavia 2, 1.6 FSI) it was an early model of the last generation - but let me down considerably with various faults - The only one that has, I've had 3 great Octavia's since and will soon hopefully be 4...

If you are going down the demonstrator road, a test drive would be essential and going over with a fine tooth comb on the potential areas for problems before sealing the deal.

Good luck!
