My recently acquired Octavia MK2 FL 1.4 TSI is noisy when starting from very cold (first thing in the morning).  It sounds like a tick, tick,tick, tick, tick......... for the first couple of seconds.

 

It sounds like something is starved of oil until pressure builds up so I changed the oil and filter from a Mann filter to a genuine Skoda filter and the correct oil from the main dealer.

 

The problem certainly had gone away since but this morning it's back.

 

Any ideas?

Can anyone tell me if the 1.4 TSI has a cam belt or chain?
