2009 9N Polo

Featured Replies

Wouldn't a 2009 9N Polo use CAN??

I have written to Ross Tech asking why it might not connect to my genuine cable via CAN (as highlighted under the port test which says K1 and K2 are ok but CAN is not ready) but my suspicion is the car simply isn't CAN driven.  But then I thought all newer VAG cars were, so I am a bit confused.

My cable connects fine to my Octavia and I am using the latest 12.12.0 release.  Can anyone shed any light please?

Thanks

If you have a genuine HEX+CAN lead it will connect using K-Line. Why do you want it to connect via CAN?

It is only the diagnostic port we are talking about. It doesn't mean the car doesn't use CAN. Even my 1999 Octavia uses CAN.

Ok thanks.  It is a genuine cable and I have now managed to scan it by using the 9N option on the autoscan page.  I guess I just expected it to connect via CAN as every other car I have scanned did, including older cars.
