Hi All,

I'm new here, not sure if I'm doing this right, but hopefully someone can help me! 

I have a 2010 Fabia 2, since new in March 2010.  Last month, just 6 months out of the three year warrantee (typical), the front nearside window stopped working.  I had wound it down, but it wouldn't go up from the driver's door controls, however, I managed to get it to go up on the passenger door.  Then it wouldn't work at all.  My Skoda dealer has looked at it and I'm told that there is a problem with the wiring loom and I am looking at around £600 to get it fixed.  My question is, is it unreasonable to expect it to last more than three years? - I've had cars much older than this in the past and none have ever had a problem with windows through wear and tear.  Skoda have told me that they are unwilling to pay anything towards fixing it.  Has anyone else had a similar problem?  Is it an issue with these vehicles?  Any suggestions? 

Hi got similar problem myself mines a 2008, sorry cant offer any help with it just thought I'd share my experience, I bought new drivers door window switch at £28 from skoda but didn't make any difference, took door card off but nothing obvious so think like you said before break/problem in wiring loom, decided will just lean over if need that window operating
