I ordered mine last week via Skoda business lease and miraculously they've confirmed it is due for delivery the week before xmas. Wonder who has lost out just because they are so keen to boost their lease market share?

Fingers crossed in return, could be a good early xmas present for you then ;-)

Don't mean to be rude to anyone here but I think people need a bit more patient. As a rule you will need to wait at least 12 weeks from order time to collection. People who have collected in under this time are extremely lucky and more likely to have been customers who went into the dealers and ordered not long after the Octy was released. Since then this car has caught on big time!

Now that this car is extremely popular, demand is massively high. This is not Skodas fault. With customer demand comes a greater pressure for parts etc and the factory are knocking out cars for customers all over the world not just the uk!!

Put your self in my shoes for a moment, orderd a vRS hatch a dealer tells me I will definetly get my car in December (20th sep order) so I part exchange my car in good faith only to be told by SUK that I am now looking at a 7 month wait for my new car. I've even spoken to the CEO of skoda uk and not even he can explain why there is such a massive problem with parts shortages.

So who's fault is it that I've got a 7 month wait for my car?

. I ordered my vRS Hatch on  2nd September and was told 12-16 weeks ( Dec-1st Jan) Now I am looking on get it around March if I am lucky... I wanted by Christmas..

Ok, you win. 7 months is ridiculous! However I think you'll find that it takes no where near that long once things pick up and parts get ordered.

Liken the situation to any other hot product. The iPhone 5S will have no doubt sold out at certain stores upon first release. The playstation 4 will do exactly the same! The Octavia VRS hatch is no different. Demand outweighs supply unfortunately until sales calm down!

Hopefully things will pick up soon, but to be honest it's going to be worth the wait.

I fully understand what you're saying. I think if someone has paid hard cash for a car that in my potential case it is unfair that someone has potentially to wait longer just because I put a business lease order in. Yes i'd like the car sooner but it's not my money so i'd rather someone else didn't suffer
