mk1 skoda octavia vrs estate suspension question/advice

Featured Replies

hey everybody, im after chaning the full suspension on the estate as its still on the orignal eqipment!

i've been looking at the blistein b4's but ive been told they dont fit the vrs modals can anybody confirm this?

i was hoping to lower it a little bit nothing silly as im wanting to fit 18" bbs ch alloys soon. so i need to find a decent spring set too!

any help advice would be great thanks

H&R is your best option for springs. Eibach no longer make springs suitable for vRS (which is probably why you have been told this about the B4's, as the B4 KITS were supplied with Eibach springs, if I recall correctly).

Although as for the B4 shocks themselves, I don't know, but B6's are fine. Just don't get shock and spring KITS.

what is KITS?  Surely coilovers are the best options (pending answer to budget question)

My budget is I duno really! Haha I won't something with a good name and quality. £400 at a push as I'm keeping it standard'ish ;)

I dont think the b4 was ever sold as a complete kit. as in damper/spring. The b6 kit used to have eibach springs.

£400 I'd probably use weitec. I've used kw (weitec) in the past and are pretty good

£400 is never going to get you the likes of Bilstein and H&R. And it sure wouldn't get you genuine new shocks and springs all round either.
