Brake re-fresh

Featured Replies

Morning fellow Briskodians!

In the not so distant future I will be repacing my standard rear brakes for the 256 set-up off the MK1 Octy vRS as mine has started to play up again and as my garage is still full of crap and tools are spread all over Bristol still, I will be handing her over to my mechanic :(

I am buying the callipers, carriers, dics and pads of a fellow Brisky member and plan to refurbish them before handing it all over. Now when I changed my fronts, I purchased it all already professionally refurbished, although I had to paint them and put them on, and this time they obviously wont be!

So I have searched on Ebay and found these two items;

Ebay #331000304261 and Ebay #271266149239

Is it wise to buy the more expensive pack and replace all of those seals, or is that a little over kill? Is there anything else I should be replacing such as the bolts which hold the callipers in place etc?

Cheers for any help or guidance :)
