Runflats....

Featured Replies

Anybody had any experience with these?

This is the first car i've owned with them and my initial impression is....

Omg what a horrible horrible life threatening invention

Ride is horrible and the car is so unstable on undulating B roads it is verging on dangerous!

I actually cannot wait for the day that these devil tyres can come off!

Anybody else hate them?

Have them on the X5 and don't mind the ride, it is a bit firm on 20" wheels but that's probably down to the profile as it ride a lot better on the winter 19" run flats.

OH has them on her Mini Cooper - as with io1901, the ride is firm to start with anyway but I think these just add to the harshness!

"Limp flats" (more honest name for them) have stiffer sidewalls than normal tyres of same size, so yes you'll get a harder ride on them.

I've never driven a car with them on but have a push bike. I'm assuming a car is just as crap on runflats as a bike?!?
