New Yeti Adventure Owner - First Skoda

Featured Replies

Hi all, ive been around on these forums for donkeys years on a couple of difference usernames. First one was Deako, but i couldnt reset my password having changed the email address that was used for it. So last year i created Deako80, and ive never posted on it until now.

The wife and i just part exchanged our Audi A3 Black Edition for a Yeti Adventure as we needed a bit more space for our dogs, and have to say we are both extremely impressed. We went for the 110ps version, and it doesnt feel too down on power or pace and i was concerned the 5th gear would be an issue on motorways, but at 70mph im impressed it cruises just over 2000rpm.

Our daily commute has been getting 58-59mpg, compared to 62-63mpg for the A3, so overall im very happy.

Ive had a whole host of other VAG cars, but this is my first Skoda. The experience is great so far.

Like me - 1st Skoda was the Urban (like Adventure). Sold it and regretted it. Now new Face Lift on order. Like you I was/am a committed VAG man.

My weekend toy is an M135i at the moment. Cracking car, picked it up on the 2nd September. :D

Hi Deako,

Took delivery of my Adventure on October 5th. So far it has done 980 miles with an average of 52.6 mpg on a brim to brim basis. The maxidot appears to 'over read by 7.5% with an indicated 56.5 mpg.

I was initially apprehensive about changing to the Adventure as my tangerine 1.2 TSI had been faultless for its 13200 miles and had returned 40.1 mpg. It was my wife's encouragement for the candy white and all the 'free toys' that the Adventure has that was the deal clincher as well as a good part ex valuation.

I am sure that if our new Adventures perform as well as my recently part exed TSI we will be more than happy - enjoy.

Yeah, the extra toys negated the fact we couldn't get 0% finance on it. Still tried to irk everything I could out the dealer. Managed £500 discount and 7.0% PCP. It would have been more expensive ordering a FL with the same kit on 0% deal.

The dealer was reluctant to do anything else on it really. It was a hard pill to swallow, nearly signed on the line for an Octavia vRS estate, but having already got an M135i in the garage, didn't need 2x performance cars.

The Skoda dealers definitely play hard ball compared with BMW, where I managed 15% discount.

I had a feeling the maxidot may be over reading, however this morning it was indicating 585 mile range and 70 miles covered since the tank was brimmed. If I can get 600 miles per tank I will be ecstatic.

Also strongly considering changing to the Adventure as since coming down to one car I'm finding that I'm putting far more miles on the clock than I anticipated.

My previous 1.2tsi S and my present SE have both been faultless as yours was but now thinking about 140bhp 4x4 adventure, there are a few still about so off tomorrow to see if I can get a good P/X price.

There are a couple available not to far from Deako80 so off to the midlands .

If any one is interested in a 7month old unmarked 1.2tsi SE with loads factory extras, 6,500mls on clock drop me a line, but not giving it away.
