It's the EGR. Have a search around. A lot of people, myself included, use a delete kit.

Wow, that is CLAGGY!

It comes off the inlet manifold with three hex bolts.  two are easy to reach, the third is a SOD to get....

Thats definately a wee bit, get it off of there and fit a delete pipe. Cheaper than a new unit :)

Weeeeeeeeeeeee as it goes across the workshop floor :')

Would this cause any loss of power poor mpg **** throttle response etc.. heard it could. Also with a delete kit will that make it perform better

Yes it would in that state.. Do us a favour if you take it off take a picture of the inside? :)

this happened to me, i just took the 90 degree bend off and i'm still scrapping out oily carbon, do what people have done and put a delete in its place.

I have a standard EGR pipe (not delete) that you're welcome to for £20 :)

Once i take it out and say put in the delete kit. Would i need to take any bits off to give a good clean

Egr delete will need mapped out!

I think some tuners do it for £150, or incorporate it in a remap

no you can get it done but the engine light will stay on until he car has been mapped to say that there is no egr valve in place, won't so any damage having the engine light on it's just annoying
