Yes I think so mate that's why I asked. O2 might have an issue with you getting it unlocked as its effectivly theirs untill the contract is paid for as far as I know

Just bear in mind how much data you will get for your money.

 

I managed to get an Xperia Z  when it first came out on T-Mobile 3G with 500 mins, unlimited txts and unlimited data for £26 and just £20 upfront cost.
