My Mk2 FL vRS has the tailights activated to be on when the DRL's are on. Is this facility available on the Mk3 vRS via VCDS or are they already activated?

Not activated but there was as VCDS post a few days ago that listed things that are already possible and I'm sure rear DLR was on it.

Thanks , found that thread and the one it refers to about the Golf. Will see what the dealer says when the car arrives!

Yes is the answer! Don't know why it's not done on the PDI as standard.

I think it's a legal requirement in Ireland so it can be done.

How is it done? What's the coding and do you have to change the country setting and forgo the large mph on maxi dot?

On the MK2 Octavia it's a tick box in the Central Electronics so I would think it's the same

VCDS can't do it, needs to be a Dealer ( I think )

Picked the car up yesterday having asked the dealer to activate it on PDI. Took a bit of finding but tech at garage was keen to learn things about new Mk3 so everyone was a winner.
