Air con condensor replacement

Featured Replies

The air con packed up in August jsu as we were going on holiday and loading up the roof rack with bikes.Phoned Robinsons in Norwich and they told us to bring it in the next day to have a look at it.

Could not find a big leak so they re filled up the system and we set off for two weeks holiday in the Lakes with me following on a motorbike. We were told that the condensor at the bottom of the rad was badly corroded and the black paint was peeling off the metalwork in large chunks. Apparently a large batch from Italy had this problem and would be exchanged under warrantty.

Our 2.0 TDI CR SE Yeti had done 24,500 miles at the time of the air con failure. Brought the car back in after our holiday and the wife was taken back to work from the dealer as the exchange had at least three hours labour for the job. Robinsons collected the wife from work and the car had been washed and cleaned very well. Great service from the dealer in Norwich.

Now having checked dealers work over the years and motorcycle dealers I have caught them out nearly every time charging for work never done. I call it fraud they call it forgetting to put the filter or pads on the car?

Well Robinsons of Norwich did a great job and the srvice was second to none according to the wife. Even checked the oil and the filter after its last service and all was spot on. No problem there.

So at last I have found a dealer that actually does the work correctly and have a very polite service team. The wife was impressed with their chauffer. Will continue to service my other vehicles as I have the tolls and my time is not charged.
