Combi retractable parcel shelf.

Featured Replies

There times in the last few days the parcel self on mine has retracted on it's own while driving.... Tonight it did it and it came out of it's runners and got wedged halfway down into the boot....

I'm half thinking I'm not latching it properly and that's why it's opening....

Anyone else had any trouble?

You actually have to lift it firmly into place when locking it in. I think it is a bit of a design error, that you have to angle it down wards to make it come free of the lock. It would have made much more sense to unlock it by angling it upwards

Mine does the same it's bloody useless! Then I blame my wife

Is this just a mk 3 issue? Mine has been ok in my mk 2. I just make sure I lift it to lock it in place.

Yeah pulling it right up seems to do the trick.

On the mkII I recall it have a spring loaded 'clip' either side to lock it in place but on the mkIII there just seems to be a bump in the moulding of the channel to lock it, looks like a bit of cost cutting to me...

The unlocking action is a bit counter intuitive I agree. Luckily the dealer showed it to me when I took delivery, otherwise I would not have worked it out straight away.
