Alloygators for Octy?

Featured Replies

Has anyone fitted these to their new Octavia yet and are they any good?

I was thinking about getting a couple of sets (one for normal wheels & one for winter wheels) and are they easy to refit if you get a puncture?

Ta.

Another product I wasn't aware of.

Looking at the fitting video it seems that the hardest part of the fit is getting the right length, hence the palava with with the wheel rotation, cutting and glueing.

Logic dictates that as they only slide between the rim and tyre and are not being fixed to the wheel/tyre in anyway, once you have the correct length you could remove and refit as necessary.

Logic has failed me in the past though.

Personally I'd be worried about the air tight seal when fitting so would be wary.
That being said Quentin likes them and I doubt he'd put his name to something that essentially broke your wheel/tyre fitting.

I guess I'm just overly cautious.

Quentin would put his name to anything if it came with enough cash.

Interesting product. I just wish someone would invent something to prevent supermarket dings.

Trolley pushers with eyesight would be a start.

 Wouldn't we all?  :giggle:

Most of the damage I've had is from car doors being flung open and people not being able to park without scuffing my bumpers.

Shoot them in the face is the answer.

They have invented something to stop supermarket dings.

It's called home delivery!
