Front Wishbone Front Bush

Featured Replies

Going to remove the front wishbone front bushes and replace them with Superpro polybushes. Any tips on removing them?

Rear console bushes are a bolt off/on job, the fronts however are pressed in from memory. May be easier and economical to get the arms superpro sell with the new bush in already. Barring that, get a decent thin chisel and hammer it between bush and arm. In a vice obviously, lever in against the bush to damage it's structure, do this on opposite sides and around the bush if needed. It can be a pain but is quite do-able. Then with a bit of grease round the new bush and suitable sized socket, you should be able to press the new bush in with a vice. Hope this helps. Dale

front ones can be removed by cutting one side of the protruding edges out with a hack saw and then drill around the rubber, near the metal core in the centre and final give it a wack with a socket and hammer, fitting superpros ones are easy as they come in 2 halves and can be pressed in by hand.

the front wishbone rear console bushes are best removed with a press as they are a real tight fit in the aluminum console.
