Fabia vRS TDI Turbo Hose

Featured Replies

My Fabia vRS, which I have owned from new on the whole has been, and remains a fantastic car. It has suffered the odd nagging problem, including the bottom inlet hose from intercooler to turbo failing. Or rather the pathetically designed connection method failed, today whilst returning home the same hose failed again. Once my anger has cooled I will try re-fitting it but something tells me another 160 parts bill is on its way.

I know this problem can't be just my bad luck and I was wondering if anyone out there has come across either a cheaper alternative or a way of modifying these stupid connection lugs and clip arrangement VAG seem to love? Its the small 90 elbow at the bottom of the hose, I can't bring myself to even think about 160 quid for such a small piece of hose.

Hopefully

Thanks for that Danny, bodging it I can & probably will do, just wondered if anyone had come across a proper mod/alternative out there they could recommend. I mean you don't even suggest what size self tappers are best to use!

Mine went from (Look at the oil dripping at the bottom of the pipe) :

Worked a treat so far now 1 and a half weeks later! Hope that helps

I've just realised it's not the same hose but the theory should still work :)
