Parking Sensor retrofit

Featured Replies

Can parking sensors be retrofitted by Skoda ? If so how much are we looking at ?

Yes, easily.

You'll get it done cheaper elsewhere though

Talk to eddie_nl about a retrofit, he might be able to help.

DIY with genuine Skoda parts will cost about £200-250 and will integrate fully with the vehicle and displays.

Fitting front & rear from scratch is easier than adding front sensors to existing rears.

Aftermarket sensor kits are available from £30 upwards, some not involving drilling of the bumpers.

Hate to think how much the dealer would charge for a full front & rear sensor fitting that gives full OPS...

I fitted rear sensors to my octavia,i bought a kit off ebay for £15 & got a can of paint made up,painted & fitted them myself, took me around a morning, its a easy job, even the holes are marked out on the inside of the bumper. Mine only beep though, not connected to the head unit.

If you get 'genuine' accessory parking sensors from Skoda it's a Cobra Park Master kit and won't intergrate with the car.

I added Optical front sensors to mine

but have added rear ones to a Golf R and Caddy van

Optical is good, but you need a newer head unit and newer CAN gateway
