Has anyone got any reviews on the AP coilover setup?

I've seen 1 or 2 but would like more......

I wouldn't mind knowing what the AP's are like on Octavias. I know they're popular on Mk1 Fabias.

Well I bought a set anyway so we'll soon see.

I'm running a set. I like them. Much firmer than my standard (but 85k old) shocks. Great to get the car lower - looks epic. Noticeable how much better in the corners it is too - first 'spirited' drive on the APs took me from Moffat to Peebles on Tuesday night a month or so back. A road, deserted, loads of corners and crests and the car just lapped it up. Wasn't really being silly but hardly dropped below 60 for the entire route.

 

Well, well chuffed with mine although my rear shock has gone already but a quick call with DPM earlier (reccommended to buy from) didn't make me think there'd be a problem getting it replaced - 2 year warranty on them.

I'm getting mine from DPM too, the cheapest I found by far.

2 year warranty - guessing its a rare thing to happen. I've not heard of any others going... Great upgrade though - was a chocie between these and Weitec shocks and springs but glad I went down the coilover route. Spent the last 4 or 5 weeks dialling in the ride height etc and then got it aligned - feels brilliant.

Well I fitted my AP Coilovers today. Removing and fitting was an absolute PITA but I got there.

I've done a few miles so far and they are brilliant!!

A little firmer than stock but barely, cornering is great too, no body roll just solid. Gives me much more confidence than the O.E setup.

I'm really pleased I went for these instead of a shock setup, I had FSD shocks and H&R springs on my last Octy, they were hurendous and bounced all over, obviously not all shocks are like this.

To sum up I'm over the moon with the price, comfort and handling

I run them. I think for the money they're bloody excellent. Car corners hard and flat, job done
