Convenience Unit

Featured Replies

As above.

I have an 07 Octavia, just need to know where I can find the convenience unit so I can get the number of it to get a new one.

Cheers

Not sure of your exact car spec but maybe this will give you something to start from...

Use vag com

If not it will be behind the glovebox, near the passenger air vent.

I have a spare convenience unit somewhere in the garage. Pm me your part number and I'll dig it out and see if they match.

What Eddie meant is VAG COM (VCDS) will tell you the part number of the control unit without having to dig about finding it (providing you have communication with it).

Is CAN showing no comms too?

Pass don't have VCDS myself, just know it wasn't talking to it at the weekend when I got my new keys programmed.

VCDS didn't get any comms with CCM to program new remotes but my separate key programming machine programmed the remotes straight in. Unfortunately it doesn't show CCM part number on LCD screen when connected
