334mm Audi TT brakes

Featured Replies

Hello Again!

As per topic title, is anyone running this set up?

I'd love Brembos or better but can't justify the cost at the mo, the 3.2 Audi TT set up seems to go for about half the cost, maybe even less...

Is it a straight swap or would I need some fabricating to get them to fit, is it worth is also over the standard set up

Again, any help very much appreciated...

Thanks

Jason

the 3,2 tt setup like the r32 (its the same) are heavy and only twin pot, unlike the brembos.

they also cost a lot for replacement discs like £150 ish per disk (maybe even a couple of hundred each from vw) which are a lot more than the stock lcr 323mm discs cost that go with the four pot setup.

So its not worth it imo.

I have been looking for brakes to go on my Golf 4 Motion, Brembo, R32/TT 3.2 or something else....

After speaking with a few people I know who race cars and rally them also they recommended using what I already had on the car with a good pad, I took this advice and purchased Pagid discs and Ferodo DS2500 pads, on the rear I use Pagid disc and Pagid pad.

The front disc on the 4 Motion 312mm vented and 256 mm vented on the rear, I can honestly say after a full day of use around Oulton Park they were really good, no fade, plenty of stopping power and I did not see any need to spend a grand on front discs and callipers.

You also need to think about your tyres if you want big brakes, cheap tyres will transfer your stopping power into a skid and be of no benefit at all.

Thanks for the replies gents, offered the full set up (just the fronts) for £200 a few weeks ago, may not even be available now anyway...

Included calipers, discs, pads - just didn't have the coin on the day and wasn't sure if they'd bolt straight on

Looks like a lucky escape

I'm not a fast driver to be fair, current set up stops me just fine but I fancied the idea of huge discs behind the BBS's!!

Tyres are Parada Spec 2 so again do me fine, fronts almost knackered now but still good grip in the dry, tippy toe time when wet

Winter steels and tyres going on hopefully this week and I've a pair of new Paradas ready to go on next year

Thanks again guys...

I have seen an octy with Porsche Boxter callipers with fabricated brackets, looked the nuts.

Lcr brembos all day long mate.

Both r32 and brembos tho dont fit behind std rims. Not sure about your bbs ones tho.

Def lcr brembos tho.
