Who's had tailgate done under warranty ?

Featured Replies

They pics are the same as mine and in the bottom corners of the plates. Well i know theyve technically voided the warranty but my plates are now on with sticky pads and theyve accepted it now so i can only hope when they take off the plate they still go ahead with it :s. Dont see why they wouldnt as the bodyshop would probs not get payed if they say they arent doing it. And to anyone thats having problems with getting a skoda dealer to sort out the problem why not just cut out the dealer and go straight to the body shop? Thats what i done and got a really helpful guy and my claim was accepted within a week ;)

Lol ... an s3 would be alot better with 4 wheel drive etc ... even if it does drink abit

I've gone from driving 80 miles a day to 9 so I don't care how much it drinks ! My mate had one for a short time and I fell in love with it, amazing bit of kit. Very tuneable as well, they'll do 340bhp on the standard turbo

WR1 is my favourite model, but the Mrs doesn't like the colour which is the best bit about it !! Have you looked at the RB320? That's a lovely model as well. His is running at 362bhp and 407FtLb's it shifts like lol

get a different mrs ... prob solved lol yeah there was a rb320 that used to come down our street on a weekend black with all stainless grills ... looked pretty epic  .... 362 doesnt sound alot but with all that torque and 4 wheel drive they go like something else

shame they are targeted to be nicked .... and the new shape ones just arent the same anymore a scooby shouldnt be a hatch and the saloon looks stupid

You can't cut a dealer out if you want it done under warranty. The dealer has to process the claim to Skoda. A body shop can't do that, unless they also happen to be a dealer. But even then the service dept will need to process the paperwork and send photos off to get approval. They can't self authorise this type of claim.

So today the VAG group body shop man came and took some paint depths of the whole car, and the affected area. He's going to be sending all of the relevant data over to Skoda and I should know if they're going it by the end of the week. Hopefully.

Yeah it was the specialist cars bodyshop i went into and went to reception. Had to make an appointment to see the guy so whether he came from the dealership i dont know but by the end of that week i got a text from them saying i was succesful and i phoned and its booked in for 25th. And i made sure i quizzed him and made sure it wasnt gonna cost me a penny :p

Just take it to a skoda dealer that has a body shop and work shop then you can just walk in they wash the car take photos and measure the paint depths
