I finally got the vRS back today after 4 weeks. It had to have a new engine as it obviously had a bad one. I don't know if it's because I've been driving a 13 plate Octavia but the steering feels a lot heavier than I remember it. I don't know if it was just the journey home but it also felt like the steering was pulling to the left quite a bit and again I don't remember it doing that before.

 

Am I imagining it or could this have been caused by having a new engine fitted?

probably the steering weight can be changed using VCDS, take it back to the dealer, if you want it lighter, I'm sure they can oblige ...
