VW touch phone kit 000.051.473.A

Featured Replies

Hello -

Considering buying the above unit 2nd hand for my wife's Octavia Estate Elegance (2010 model). I have a few questions:

1. Is this definitely compatible with the Octavia (internet research suggests yes)?

2. Is it easy to fit (could a complete non-mechanic like me fit it, for example)?

3. Are there other phone kits for a similar price (c £90) out there that would be better suited to the Octavia?

I always regret not ordering the bluetooth phone option as standard for my wife's car (I really enjoy it on my Superb) and so I have been looking to get something like this fitted for a while (hopefully something that I can fit myself, with no know-how).

Thanks for your advice.

Andrew

Its a rebadged Bury CC9060, excellent kit and will work with Octy no trouble.

As said, it's a Bury CC9060. So check the pricing on that, before automatically going for the VW version.

I ran that exact kit in my Octy for a year or so, and it was very good. Call quality and the touch screen, excellent.

I switched to the OEM Bluetooth kit in the end though, so I didn't have to have an additional screen mounted.
