Have you got your vagcom cable?

Motordiag uses its own cable, a Vagcom cable will not work.

 

The software is free, but you must buy the cable from them.

Looks like all that does is perhaps offer remote deadlocking / window auto close /open.

It'll only work with a copy cable 

 

 

Genuine VCDS won't do it.

Yeah the cable cost £7 or something but i didnt need to buy it from motordiag

that is how i did it too.

 

used a clone cable

Screwed my LCR a good un this did,.

Dead battery in the morning..Central locking didn't work..windows only went down..

I panicked for like 10 mins...then disconnected the battery,and all was good again.

Was not a genuine cable I used,either.

Just to let you know,Incase you need your car to use straight away,in the morning...IF it goes pear shaped!
