Is this EGR Suitable for my engine?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have had my car diagnosed with faulty EGR valve and i want to source the part myself due to numerous reasons and lack of trust i have between the people that are repairing my car under warrenty.

Is this valve suitable for my 06 plate fabia vrs?

Im pretty sure my engine is BLT

For that price you might aswell get a EGR delete kit from the group buy section of the forum and save yourself some money.

hmm, not too sure on an EGR delete because i thought you had to have it mapped out? plus the car is still covered under warrenty on pretty much everything else so i dont want to void it

Did you find out what was actually wrong with the EGR valve? Might just need removing and cleaning if it's stuck open / stuck closed. Not a hard job at all and will save you lots of money!

No they didnt specify what was wrong with it, theyve had the car for a week now, all out of my hands due it the car being under the used car dealerships own warrenty, they then take the car to the garage they use who have diagnosed it as EGR. the dealership then told me thats all he knew.

This is all besides the point however becusae i just asked whether this valve would fit or not?

thanks

Lists it for BLT so should be, however it depends if the fault is with that part or more often the electronic throttle body part of it.

If its a warranty job why are you looking for parts?

Just leave them get the part.
