Rust at boot hinge

Featured Replies

I've noticed i have rust next to the hinge when the boot is open. Is this a common problem and will Skoda fix it under warrenty?

I've never seen that before.

How old is the car?

Do you know if the car has any previous accident damage?

Any chance something could have got caught in that area when the boot was slammed shut?

Either way I would certainly be popping down to my local dealer for their thoughts. It looks like a warranty job to me, assuming the car is under 3 years old.

I think there is a 12 year anti-perforation warranty but no doubt this policy is as full of holes as your car will be after another couple of salty winters!

It's a 10 plate and not even on 10k miles! No accident damage.

Bring it bk to the dealers, nothing else needs to be said on here if it's that new!
