my 2.0TDi 140bhp does the same. I had it remapped to 177bhp by forge m/sport and it's still there slighty. it's defo at just under 2500revs and just as you hover the throttle. if this is a fault then what the tech term to quote at the dealer?

My standard 2.0TDI does it as well, it feels like a slight misfire/hesitation at times.

It had a new EGR valve due to an oil leak but it made no difference to the hesitation.

It's done it from day one and i'm used to it now.

If it were turbo-lag, you'd feel the effect of the turbo coming back up to boost; I know exactly what you mean about hesitation, and it feel different. Vacuum Valve Body Changed - was causing hesitation and poor pick-up/throttle response
