relay 109 in 1998 octy tdi

Featured Replies

Firstly apologies for posting similar question in first post forum (This is my first experience of forums!)

Having found BRISKODA brilliant for answering my questions I have on question I don't seem to be able to find the answer to.

Where do I find this relay? ( apparent cause of SUDDEN DEATH SYNDROME)

thanks

David

PS. Have VAG COM in S Manchester area

Its behind the trim under the steering wheel (by your knees) in the relay plate. Quite easy to spot and usually has 109 stamped on it. Very problematic at one time.

have now changed relay and all the problems have gone, can start the car now.

thanks very much to everyone who has contributed to my success. Incidentally I continuity tested the relay and most was fine, but the coil had burnt out, so new relay was the answer. So not all black ones are repairable!

It's good to see Briskoda providing the answer! :)

Glad to be of service :)
