Missing shield under engine.....

Featured Replies

During the 4-year safety inspection, I discovered that the shield under the engine was missing. Remnants around the mounting bolts are still there. How and when this happened is a bit of a mystery, as I am the only driver and have not noticed any event causing this to be ripped off.

Quiestion now is what to replace it with??

Another original light shield? or the more sturdy off-road version?

Hi Agerbundsen,

:'(  to hear this and I take it then you have not been battling snow drifts of late and left it behind in one, or visited one of those 4x4 off road courses :wonder:  :giggle:

For ease then fitting a like for like replacement noise insulation shield is probably best, retrofitting an RRP shield might prove costly with all the brackets etc. that are required.

Seems to be the thing with these noise shields, as the car get older they start falling off; often see motors with them hanging loose. Hoping that by going with the RRP it will prove more robust in the long run.

Anyway hope you get it sorted,

TP
