Hi

You could have a look here, but please don't blame me if you do anything 'orrible:

http://www.auditmypc.com/uninstall-media-player10beta.asp

Quote from site: "You will use this procedure only when the option to uninstall media player 10 beta, 10, 9, or others are not listed in the add / remove programs under the control panel."End Quote

Doing this by any chance ?

and this

I was using Media player 9 when it happened, downloaded 10 and it was still happening. I ended up removing 10 and going back to 9. When I installed PowerDVD it must have had whatever codecs were needed to run Media player as it then worked ok.

Last time I unistalled media player, it rolled it back to the basic edition. I however prefer Winamp....by far better.

tried both those and they dont seem to work :(

Did you check the links? I also sometimes find that PowerDVD is a better access. Have you "uninstalled" by the inbuilt facility? I don't understand how you have not rolled back to 9 by now. But maybe you have? Where are you up to and what have you tried?
