Strange heated rear screen problem

Featured Replies

I have quite an odd problem. I'm thinking it must be some form of short circuit, but thought I'd ask in case anyone else has experienced it.

If I switch on the rear screen heater, I get a warning saying "brake light failure". But switching it back off & pressing the brake pedal then removes the warning and the brake lights are fine.

Just seems a bit of a strange one! Anyone have any ideas?

My lads Lupo has a heated rear window issue too, there is an audible buzz in the car when the rear screen is turned on, we looked today and the cleaned the connectors for the window to wire and also found the earth, cleaned this and re fitted, buzz has gone.

Maybe you have an earth issue or similar.

Definitely worth a try. I'll take a look tomorrow.
