Black Pack - not vrs

Featured Replies

Has anybody been able to specify the Black Pack for a non-vrs model?  Having cancelled my platinum grey order (when the colour was discontinued), I am now considering candy white on a 1.4TSi Elegance Estate, on which the Black Pack would look pdg.  But the October brochure shows it as an option for the Vrs only.

Would be an easy mod, someone on here has already done this I think on an Eleg Estate.

youve got it right that its a vrs only option but as long as you dont want the roof rails its pretty easy to add it.  Ask the dealer to fit the parts as part of the deal.

I've ordered the black pack mirror covers from Skoda to put on my estate. The black trim on the grill i'll order from superskoda. The black roof railings isn't pretty imo.

How difficult is it to retrofit the new frame and is the old silver one glued or screwd in?

Depends if you want to keep the chrome one to refit at a later date. If you do, it would be necessary to drop the front bumper to gain access to the rear of the grill. If not - and I didn't - then it is possible to use a screwdriver or similar object to remove the tabs that hold the grill in place. Takes a bit of force, I used a hammer to persuade them out - but as long as you're careful it's easy enough. Took me about 15 minutes to do mine.

Why not to Plastidip the parts, I did it on my private 508 and it lasts for more as a year now, even damage can be repaired localy if needed.

Many info from Plastidip on Ytube. I didn't bought the cans but painted the parts with the spray gun as the structure is more even.
