Monte Carlo DRL's

Featured Replies

Just noticed that the DRL's go out when you turn the lights on, is that the norm?

I'm sure on my Brothers Octavia VRS Mk2 they stay on lights on or off.

Yep that's correct. Soon as you flip the switch to either side or dipped they switch off.

It is how they are supposed to be on the Monte.

DRL's should not be on at DRL brightness when the other lights, Sidelight or Headlights go on.

Some manufacturers cars dim them, but the stay lit, mostly they go out.

the Fabia vRS has a light unit which acts as  DRL's if activated,

and become Sidelights when Sidelights are on, just less bright.

On your brothers Octavia vRS they dim instead of going off completely.

This is because they double up as sidelights so dim to perform this function.

The Monte has seperate sidelights so the DRL's extinguish completely with side or dipped headlights on.
