vrs panel filter

Featured Replies

I read somewhere that a k&n filter was to oilie for a pd130..... is this true ? So i was wondering what filers are people running ? And what would people recommend ?

Thanks

I've got a cone filter, sounds cool with my hybrid.

Nowt wrong with a good old standard paper filter.

Over oiled cones / panel filters can cause damage to the MAF sensor. Not a problem for me as mine is deleted :)

Is that something you had mapped out or fitted a delete ?

Who's this ollie fella?

I wouldn't use a filer either.

:D

Honestly they do **** all run a paper filter, it'll take a couple for the k&n to pay for itself.

Mapped out mate

I have a K&N. Have had it on 6+months with no issues as yet.

I think paired with my 160 intake it seems to produce much less smoke.

Ive just got myself the pd160 intake and that why I was asking about filters ..... didnt know weather to get a pipercross or see what people have used and could recommend

I've been running a pd 160 intake and a K&N panel filter for 12 months, never had any issues and car felt more responsive after I fitted them..

I have read and seen pictures of some pipercross and green filters that have almost disintegrated after a short time, which is why I personally opted for the K&N.

K&N on mine with no issues

Had a pd160 and k&n panel filter fitted for 2 years now with no issues.

As above k&n over a year now still looks as new even after 10k miles
