DVLA tossers

Featured Replies

5 weeks waiting for the damned plate to be removed from my old Passat and put on retention. The vRS has now been registered on a crappy plate and insurance sorted for this. It will no doubt cost me yet again to swap the plates over with the insurance.

They had the cheek to send me a SORN out for my plate on retention for a car I don't own, WASTE OF SPACE, wouldn't pay them in washers.

Once the plates are on retention you have paid in that price to then put them on a car at a later date............................I think...But I will stand corrected

What I meant was, the insurance will charge me yet again for their administration costs, for changing the vehicle reg.

Last time i changed plates on a car, my insurance company didn't charge me anything. Suppose it depends on which company you are with. I was with Adrian Flux at the time.

DVLA lost my retention certificate because they are so damn efficient, and then blamed it on me. Thanks, fu*kers

Not to rub it in at all :o but we sent off forms to get plate of SWMBOS car last week and all the stuff arrived today!!! Now thats the fastest ive ever seen it happen. Took 3 weeks for mine! :D

As I guessed, it arrived today. Too late Welsh boyo's, the car is ready to be picked up Saturday morning, and wont have chance to swap plates over for a fortnight with being on holiday in the car.

My paperwork arrived today too. Put the plates straight on the car. Looks cool, very happy!
