Station Garage, Ewhurst, Surrey

Featured Replies

just a complaint my friend would like to share with you about this certain garage, his vRS went into service for 10k and he supplied the bits etc oil filter ... n e how when going to pick his furbs up, he had to swallow hard and pay up a whole 193 quid, not only that they have broken the door check strap (the bit that makes the doors springy) as well as knocking a mark about the size of some ones thumb nail where one of the shark fins are, wat else was an annual inspection for a 6 month old car charged him for the bits he supplied! out of his wallet so he payed TWICE! for the parts...

hes gone to the garage today to get his money back, as skoda uk said they would refund the charges for the parts he supplied back into his account wich they have not.

he strongly feels that they dont deserve to be a skoda dealer, and that people should try to avoid useing them in future :thumbdwn:

If you think that's bad, don't use Crawley Down. I've not used Station Garage yet, but they seem so much more helpful than Crawley Down, at least for starters they answer the phone...

Thanks for posting this, I was considering using them for my next service - are there any good dealers out there?

I have been using Ballamies at Shoreham and they've been ok..... but they are still struggling to stop the bl**dy brakes squeeling and groaning  . I know some have had problems with this dealer though.

I 've never tried Crawley down, Have spoken to Station ..... but never used them due to the owners attitude problem.

There is someone from Station on here so he may want to comment :) but for obvious reasons i'll not be naming him :)

Good luck there does seem to be a lack of really good dealers in the sussex area ..... at this stage its bad enough to make it increasingly unlikely my next car will be another skud which would be a shame. ( hope skoda uk read this and listen)

Station Garage do have a sign in the reception area stating that customers are not permitted to use their own parts or fluids.

Really? How odd. I guess it does make it easier to make up invoices etc.

For what?? Whatever it is it sounds disgusting

For servicing, fluids such as, brake fluid, engine oil, screenwash etc. Believe it or not some garages do actually get people who want to supply there own fluids because they think that the garage will try and reuse the original fluids or something. They're obviously crazy!

There is a section in this forum where you can review the skoda garages. It would be better to post all these moans there.

Or because they can get the fluids for less than the dealer wants to charge them...

Rob.

Thats why I supplied my own at last service.

Er .... read the notice again - not allowed to use their own parts or fluids - then think double entendre. Mind you never funny if you have to explain it :) :)

But the dealer doesn't know where the customer got the fluids/parts from, if their car breaks as a result from not using correct parts, I'm pretty confident the owner of the vehicle will still try to blame the garage, where as if the customer used the garage supplied parts and the car broke because of this, it would definatly be the garages fault and they would have to fix it.

I must say I find it very hard to understand the attitude of the garage, but, it is their choice as to how they do business. I personally wouldn't use a garage that wouldn't let me supply my own parts, if I so wished.
