hmm sounds like a door lock mechanism gone awol or going awol.

Try to spray wd40 in the catch area of the lock whilst manipulating door by opening and closing it a few times.

A micro-switch makes a connection from the metal bar movement in the locking mechanism. This connection can sometimes get dirty and not make good contact, or the micro-switch can completely fail. so the door does not think it is closed so the door light and curtisy light stay on.

worst case is a full stripdown or replace the whole door locking mechanism. They have 4 micro-switches in them making them the most over complicated door lock ever....

If you feel confident you can strip lock down following this guide i did or just use it to help you remove the lock and replace it..
