Paint Code Needed

Featured Replies

Would any of you guys know what the metallic black paint code is for the wing mirror cover on a Fabia VRS is?

They are supplied via the dealer in a primered state and then painted to match whatever was on the car.

If anybody can help I would be very grateful. Thanks.

There is a sticker Mr Goldfinger but it gives the code for the race blue of the car and not the fancy black on the mirror cover. Even the dealer is a bit confused as to where to get the paint code from?

I might just have the new one and the drivers side mirror painted race blue instead of the mystery black.

Fair chance it's Black Magic 9910 but don't quote me on that, certainly I believe that is what gets used on the black pack roof, which you might expect that they would tie in.

Aerosol spray also available if that's any use.

Dealer - 0

Sparkly -1

Edit: needn't have bothered posting apparently, although I read the thread first I clearly missed the part where Mr Goldfinger already gave you the answer.

Dealer is going to ring me back, they are busy apparently  :wonder:

Z4Z4, so now we have three codes for one paint

Checking Paint codes  I would imagine

Mr Goldfinger +1, although I did edit my post to rob you of your moment which you were quite excited about because for once you knew the answer to a question, I shall go away and have a stern word with myself

I admire your honesty

You're not going mad - I saw the original answer ;)

LC9Z is the VW code and 9910 is the Skoda code, Z4Z4 is probably used within another section of the VAG group.  Despite being the same colour the different manufacturers still stick to their historic system of coding paint and name it differently.

I was told that the Monti's have black magic, so it would seem logical that this is too! It seems to be the defult colour for black painted mirrors on Fabia's.

I asked as I had a (Resolved) Problem with my mirror and was gonna buy a used one from a dealer breaking a monti and my car is black magic.

Finally got a call from the Dealer today to tell me the wing mirror cover is in and painted ready for collection, I was quite surprised at the £75 price tag but it was needed so what can you do?

The big thing is now fitting the thing as I did not remove the old one.

Does anybody know of a "how to" guide? or similar,  maybe just a few pointers if you have replaced one your self would be a great help.

 Thanks
