3" MAF questions

Featured Replies

Advantages of a 3" MAF? obviously larger so more air can pass im guessing?

ive read about people using an r32 maf, does this require any map adjustment? or can you just take the sensor out of the TDI maf and fit into the r32 maf housing?

toying with making a custom inlet so my bays abit neater and using my bmc cda from my vr6 which is 3" inlets

intending to eventually upgrade to the 2260 turbo so surely it will help things?

MAF delete??

Mine is deleted

What is 3" luke, the inside diameter? I cant see it making any difference as the standard outer diameter is 80mm so larger than 3 inches so internal wont be far off.

That looks hell of alot bigger than 3 inch like i said the tdi is 80mm and the internal bore looks bigger than the outer of the tdi one.

No idea then. But like i say, ideally id like to retain it if it can be changed without messing about.

Well where its mounted looks the same but be even better if you can see if the actual plug and pins are the same.

Needs a remap to work properly. Have a look on tdiclub about MAF rescaling.
