Pitstop Uk auster road york !!!

Provided they are rated above the max speed of your vehicle, you are OK.

Don't think yours does over 149 does it? :)

However, if you asked for W, you should get W :(

Burn them!!!!

will do but needed tyres quickly tonight afterall i did originaly want them for last tuesday !!!!they had the tyres come in monday i go to get them fitted i spot they are v's after they have fitted one of them they swap the back and they said they would get the w's in . turn up today after they told me too to find out that they are still the v's and then they spin me that **** !! they could have atleast told me on the phone on tuesday or something :(

This is why I get my tyres mail order and get them fitted by my local tyre place. I get exactly what I want them. ;)

V 's are no problem. Unless your Fabia does 150 MPH I wouldnt worry. There is no difference unless you drive a VERY fast car and this will be negligable

except if your insurance company states that the same speed rating has to be fitted to the car that the manufacturer fits or higher

I have checked with my Uncle(Insurance Company Owner) "The V rated tyre is so near to a w rated one that this would NOT be contested"

So there you have it

Ah but was it V or W rated screen wash ?

So do I after this afternoons experience. Long story short. Got new tyres on the front about 4k miles ago. Noticed recently a wheel vibration from 60 mph so decided to take it in for a re-balance. Guy tut tutted and mentioned something about the way they'd been balanced the last time and the bloke must be a muppet or something.....

Did the job again for me and off I go. Driving home and I'm sure it's still there so go via the motorway to get a bit of speed up. If anything it's now worse  There's a hell of a vibration at 70 mph that is much much worse than before. Another trip back to them tomorrow then. How much to bet it's something serious like a fooked rim

Other thing is rear tyres are running off on the inside so looks like a full alignment check - anyone know if the rear castor / camber is adjustable? 2 x new tyres probably needed aswell then ........ Aaarrgghhh!!!

I had to go back to Kwik - Fit FOUR times before they balanced two new tyres properly, each time they told me that they were definately balanced properly. When I went home and checked the weights on the wheels I think they were just guessing each time they done something bit different.

Last time I got tyres I asked the dealer to do it while they were doing a service and they went all good.

Speed rating is not the only issue here - better check your V-rated tyres have a suitably high load rating for that massive lump of diesel engine in there... that's the main reason for having W's on the Furby vRS - no one really expects you to go over 168mph in it... but v-rated tyres usually have an insufficient load rating...

It's a solid axle on the rear so I'm pretty sure it's fixed camber! Castor is a front measurement, would be anti-squat on the rear! but that would be fixed too! Sure you ain't twa**ed any kerbs or owt????

Ah but was it V or W rated screen wash ?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Bl**dy hell!!

Next time i get tyres i'll go the mail order route, been to the local just tyres before as they've been able to fit and balance my alloys on the old saxo where no-one else could. But they are quoting a price double that i could have bought them on line. admittedly that includes fitting but...Never bought tyres online then have to get them fitted before so was a bit hesitant but will definately next time!
