Fabia vrs mk1 under tray fixings (tray keeps falling off)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My undertray keeps falling off on my fabia.

Are people still using the Skoda clips or anything better?

Regards,

Ollie

Mine all broke off

drill holes and cable tie together is how I repaired it, keep cutters and spare zip ties in boot just in case !

Cable ties for me too

deffo fix it too as my engine used to blow itself cold without it, rendering the heater useless

Mines been off for about 5 month and heater is still working fine have it on 20-22 now the temps dropped!

Was 2 degrees this morning on the car sensor

Mines been off for months too :)

Riv nuts are the best answer by far

Just bang a drill through the square holes In the subframe to make them round, then m6 rivnuts fit spot on ;)

+1 riv nuts or new lug nuts

Rivnuts are good till the bolt thread goes rusty. Then one simple oil change turns into a right job when you go to turn the Rivnut and whole lot turns ;)

I have a nice nut nd bolt lol... how awkward though :/

stainless steel riv nuts lol

i think ill replace mine with same .... theyve lasted 10 years so far so sure new will outlast my ownership of the car

Not had one on for 6 years. Makes no difference to me ?

Maintenance is easier too.

I bought replacement clips and bolts pretty cheap from the dealer and it is fine now after a good six months.. had to drill a couple of new holes though.

Copper grease the threads and that problem will not arise for years.

Even if it does hardly a big job to go in the garage and plug the angle grinder in..............

Hmm, I'm thinking about cable ties, for the amount of times that tray will come off is only for a service it's probably easier
