As some of you painfully are aware, the shop has had a few issues. Well it's going! To be replaced by a bigger, brighter, better one, well certainly to be replaced. 

 

So now it's your chance to influence our 2013/14 shop!

 

I have prepared a few trade accounts with the likes of Richbrook, Abrex, Dodo juice, Duxback and in discussions with more about carrying their products to you. I'm also working with a bespoke sticker manufacturer to bring more than just our briskoda stickers. I've also spoken to a parts supplier, but parts are very cut throat and normally needed quickly, maybe a few 3d printed parts

 

To be clear I'm not setting up a retail empire like halfords with cheap plastic tat! I want to get you quality products at a good price, on the whole this can be done at equivalent to mostly better prices as 'premium members'.

 

So inspire me with top quality products you'd consider buying. What sort of things would you like me to look at getting? Maybe find it hard to find under one roof/carriage charge?

 

Would you buy from 'the briskoda'?

 

One thing I'm thinking about is 'kits' as it allows for a lower overall cost . For example a dodo kit of wax, cleaner, claybar, pads, towel, directions etc. The contents are up for discussion.

 

Others are group buys, or secret sales (bulk pre-order group discounts), each takes time, energy and I'm up for that! 

 

A new shop should be online soon.

 

Finally I'm opening this to be a different approach, fostering growth/enterprise. So if you make or sell things, hobby or not, then get in touch, it does not have to be car related. This is such a great idea! A one stop shop , where you can have a great banter and pick up an oil filter,clothing and a partner (female 4me) if your lucky

I've not spoken to a parts supplier yet that shares the same vision or goals. Closest I got would only yield 3%, that does not even cover a transaction fee, let alone anything else before labour cost.

Long sleeve T-shirts Colin?

Already in play, http://www.briskoda.net/forums/store/product/47-long-sleeve-t-shirt/ I've not gone for screenprint ones as the samples I had broke up in a half dozen washes or so. So I didn't want to sell that quality. These are embroidery ones. I'm still hunting for a good screen printer who understands the job...

I'd really like some deals on Autoglym...

Autoglym came on board today!

 

Now to pick which products from their(anyones) range. For autoglym I need to make orders to the value of at least £50 each time I order.

 

Fair to say with each supplier, to permit a better price to freedom, I need to minimise delivery charges, so ordering 1 pot of wax for example wipes out possible saving margins. Non freedom will be RRP, or market rates where plausible.

 

New shop will permit pre-ordering. Looking at a couple of group buy min qty trigger features. I suspect I'll lean on 'brand' sale this week. Order before Friday the n^th.
