Superb II , with the Queen's crest!

Unusual sight this morning, in Ayr town centre. A white Superb II, fully striped-up as in police car, with light bar on the roof, but with the Queen's crest (EIIR) on the doors. A bit of googling suggested it was Military Police. It was immediately followed by a white Transit, being driven by a man in military fatigues. They turned up a narrow alleyway, that leads to the Auld Kirk cemetery, and I glimpsed a soldier, in dress uniform, standing by.

Surprised to see the Skoda Superb in that role (although I know some forces down south have them). Would love to know what was happening.........
